Cause and fixing of Msvcr71.dll Error

There could be many causes that you get this error. The application that you have installed must be buggy and corrupted. The Msvcr71.dll has been over written by another older version of it which obviously lacks some functions such as stack overflow reset. The damaged registry entry of the program could be the culprit, or the data that program uses is damaged as well.

The only way is to obtain the official copy of Msvcr71.dll. To get that, you need to restore it from your Windows OS CD.
